Rhinoplasty, sometimes referred to as a “nose job” or “nose reshaping” enhances facial harmony and the proportions of your nose. It can be done for medical reasons such as to correct breathing problems related to the nose (Septoplasty) or to correct disfigurement resulting from trauma or birth defects (Rhinoplasty) and when combined together known as Septorhinoplasty.
Since, the nose is the central most part of the face, therefore is very important aesthetically. Small nasal adjustments and refinements can result in a striking impact on appearance. The main aim of rhinoplasty is to make improvement in the shape of nose in relation to facial structures, not the perfection. Rhinoplasty is an operation that requires experience, good aesthetic perception, and continuous training by the surgeon.
The most important factor that influences success is probably your choice of rhinoplasty surgeon and realistic expectations of the patients. Dr. Nayan Mahato has done his Fellowship in Rhinoplasty & Facial Plastic Surgery from Charing Cross Hospital (NHS) Fulham, London (UK). He has been doing Rhinoplasty for last 2 years with excellent results. For detail information, please contact Dr. Nayan Mahato in Kantipur Hospital at 4-6 pm, Tinkune, KTM, (+977-9841362760).
Ideal candidates for Rhinoplasty are patients with:
|Bulbous Tip Nose||Asymmetric Nasal Tip||Upturned Nose||Droopy Nasal Tip|
|Crooked Nose||Deviated Nasal Septum||Broken Nose||Low/ High Nasal Bridge|
|Dorsal Hump||Narrow Nose||Wide Flaring Nose||Nostril Collapse|
Success Rate and Complications
Rhinoplasty has a high success rate. The most important factor that influences success is probably your choice of rhinoplasty surgeon. The slim possibility of making the nose worse can be kept to a minimum by choosing an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon.
Post-rhinoplasty infection rate is low, occurring in less than 1% of cases, bleeding, slight scar in the columellar region (open approach), septal perforation, breathing problems, numbness of the tip of the nose and most commonly unsatisfactory aesthetic problems.
